ARTIST IN RESIDENCE: HER NAME WAS KYRA
Kyra is a Portland-based public and digital artist hailing from Cincinnati, Ohio. She served as PSU’s Artist in Residence during the 2023-2024 academic year. Kyra’s background is primarily in portraiture and figurative work, as well as in large scale public murals. She has a strong passion for working with youth, in part because her own creative practice began when she was a child.
Kyra has created two one-of-a-kind pieces for each speaker & performer in Year 13. One of their Inner-child, age 4-8, and one as a young teenager.
